               A Computer network is interconnection of two or more computer systems located in a same room, building or at different places , It enables the sharing of programs information and Hardware components etc . It is most widely used over the world to share data , Information and resources. We can connect through networks all over the world.Internet is world wide networks that allows a subcriber to send and recieve data or information or browse the world wide web (www) to get information on differnt topics. now i discussed the components of computer networks .

Components of Computer Networks:

                                        A computer network consists of the following four basic components :
  • Sending device 
  • Recieving device
  • Communication devices
  • Transmission medium

Sending device : 

                           Sending device is used to send data , information or message from one place to another through network. In computer network sending device is usally a computer.

Recieving Device: 

                           Recieving device recieve data , information or messages in the computer networks. Recieving device is usally a computer , printer or storage device.

Communication devices:

                               These devices are used for communication between the computer and other devices. The most popular device that is used for internet communication is MODEM.

Transmission Media:  

                                Transmission media is the path or channel through which the data or information is transferred from one place to another in a computer network. Networks are connected by wired or wireless medium which is also called guided and un-guided media respectively.

Complexity of Networks. Now a day almost networks are used in every field of life, but there is also have complexity in networks.Some complexities of networks are given below.

i. Many different technologies exists.

There are many different technologies exist for networking. And each technology features are different from each other. This is because many companies have developed networking standards which are not compatible with each other. In this way multiple technologies exist that are used to be connected to different networks. From a user's standpoint, standards are extremely important in the computer industry because they allow the combination of products from different manufacturers to create a customized system. Without standards, only hardware and software from the same company could be used together. So due to many different technologies it causes compexities

ii. No single under line theory or model.

The second reason for the complexity of networks that there is no single under lyne theory or model. It specifies or defines different aspects of networking rather various organizations and research groups have developed to conceptual model that can be used to explain differences and similarities between networks, hardware and software. If there is only one single underline theory exists then then the chance of complexity is much less but now a days many theories or model of networks exists which causes complexity.

iii. Models are either so simplistic or so complex.

Another reason for the complexity of networks is that the conceptual mode by organizations are either so simplistic that they do not distinguishes between details. Or they are so complex that they do not simplify the subjects. A conceptual model is a model made of the composition of concepts, which are used to help people know, understand, or simulate a subject the model represents. Some models are physical objects; for example, a toy model which may be assembled, and may be made to work like the object it represents.So if the model is so simple it causes the complexity of networks as well as if the models are so complex so it also causes the complexity of networks.

iv. No single or uniform terminology.

One reason for the complexity of networks is that there is no single or uniform terminology that can be used for the same feature. Different technologies used different terminologies. In this way terms are confused with the product names. 
These are all the comlexities of networks .
