How to Configure PTCL MODEM
Sometimes it's annoying that you somehow you have pressed a reset button on your Router and now it won't connect to the internet, especially when you are PTCL customer and they take ages to pick up your phone.In this Post We will teach you how to Configure PTCL Modem or Router if you have accidentally reset your modem or somehow your Internet is not working.
First of All Open your Browser Google chrome or any other Internet Explorer
Enter 192.168.1.1 into your address Bar
After a small pop up window will open about username and Password
Enter the following
Username
Password: admin
Enter then router config window will open you can see all info about your Router and Internet
Click on Advanced Setup on Left side
Now click on Wan Setup under the Advanced setup option
Now there will be no settings on this Wan Service like this
Now click on Add
Check option PPPoE and Click Next
Now following window will open
Enter Your DSL username and password provided by PTCL if you don't have that call 1236 and ask them your DSL username and Password.
- Enable NAT
- Enable IPv4 Service
PPoE Frames between WAN and Local AreaBrigde - Enable IGMP Multicast
Enter 1492 in MTU field
Click Next Next and then Apply Save
