How to Configure PTCL MODEM

Sometimes it's annoying that you somehow you have pressed a reset button on your Router and now it won't connect to the internet, especially when you are PTCL customer and they take ages to pick up your phone.

In this Post We will teach you how to Configure PTCL Modem or Router if you have accidentally reset your modem or somehow your Internet is not working.


First of All Open your Browser Google chrome or any other Internet Explorer

Enter 192.168.1.1 into your address Bar

After a small pop up window will open about username and Password
Enter the following 

Username : admin
Password: admin

Enter then router config window will open you can see all info about your Router and Internet Conection

Click on Advanced Setup on Left side

Now click on Wan Setup under the Advanced setup option

Following window will open

If you have  already setting done there then remove it by checking all settings and then click on remove button on right side and click on remove button below 
Now there will be no settings on this Wan Service like this

Now click on Add

Atm 0_0_102   Something like that

select the Same Option as above in Picture then ,click next

Check option PPPoE and Click Next

Now following window will open

Enter Your DSL username and password provided by PTCL if you don't have that call 1236 and ask them your DSL username and Password.
check all the options Given Following

• Enable NAT
• Enable IPv4 Service
• Brigde PPoE Frames  between WAN and Local Area
• Enable IGMP Multicast

Enter 1492 in MTU field

Click Next Next and then Apply Save

Bingoo!!!!! .... Your Internet should work now

If it doesnt work call 1236 and ask them for help
